Winter Ride: The First Step

Based in Toulouse, the Southsiders are the group behind the Wheels & Waves festival staged each June in Biarritz. Focused on motorcycle and surfing culture and the creative forces behind them the event is informal and more a gathering for friends from around the globe. The first step towards Biarritz is a winter ride across the Pyrenees from France to Spain – before the spring sunshine melts the snows of the high peaks. Those invited to take part laugh, eat, talk and ride and then return to garages, barns and back yards to prepare for those long dry days of summer and the blast to France’s South West.
